I watched this wasp dig a shallow nest in the sand. Then it immediately flew off and returned a few minutes later dragging a spider (Cat-faced Orbweaver?) back to her nest. Then she quickly covered up the burrow entrance and flew off.
I was thinking this might be in the genus Aporus, but they use the spider's own burrow for their nest, so they don't dig their own.
Unfortunately, the wasp was continually moving, so I couldn't get a good photo.
