It's warmed up a bit and has been raining lately. Lots of small flies around the compost. Here's one that I found today that I think is a new family in the yard. Looks like a fungus gnat to me (Mycetophilidae), but I could be wrong about that. I captured one to ID later.
The last photos were taken after capture, freezing, and point mounting.
Seemed to key out to subfamily Mycetophilinae, genus Anatella.
