The Microgastrinae is a large subfamily of Braconid wasps that are koinobiont parasitoids of Lepidoptera. There are about 3000 described species and an estimated 30,000 - 50,000 species worldwide.

I've only found one in the yard. It was on the inside of our kitchen window.
