Darwin wasps from the subfamily Anomaloninae and tribe Gravenhorstiini are common in the yard in the early spring. One has been identified at BugGuide as Therion sp.

"Therion is distinctive because of its apically truncate clypeus without a pointed projection or tooth;

small acute tooth on lower front margin of pronotum;
postpectal carina interrupted in front of each mid coxa;

postnervulus vein joining the discocubital cell near its midlength;

and because of its modified male hind tarsi which have a weak median longitudinal carina ventrally on segments 2-4." -Charles C. Porter 1999 BugGuide
