In front garden, next to driveway and sidewalk.

this is my best guess on the ID. I'm hoping for a confirmation on iNat.

The is the most active plant in the fall for pollinators.

In northeast corner of yard.

Cone 110 mm, needles 25 mm, scale 20 mm

Backyard, west side.

Fruit and seeds from plants in front garden (south side).

Seed, ~ 2mm.

We have many of these on the south side of the yard. Self-seeding.

First flowers

Female plant with red flowers.

I planted this a few years ago. First flower last year, and a few more this year. But the leaves are getting eaten by something.

I'm not yet sure of the species.
